Tough one because I have so many. I suppose my favorite recent Broadway show is Avenue Q. The revitalization of live theater for my generation, and the songs are so (in)appropriate for so many occasions. I have to round out my top three with RENT and Wicked; I know the question doesn't actually ask that, but it was so difficult to pick just one!
Toss up between Oklahoma! and Carousel. I enjoy some of the old school Rodgers and Hammerstein, but these first two would not make the cut. Especially as Carousel essentially encourages women to stay with abusive men. I know, we're talking about over 50 years ago, but still, not a message I want to watch. Maybe they got better with time?
Hi, I'm Kirsten. I am an avid theatre-goer, but haven't found much in Indy yet, being somewhat new to the city. I've went to a few shows at the Phoenix and IRT solo, but I'd much rather enjoy with others!
