Greetings Fellow Bromptonites!
The Spring season has been slow to warm up...but I am hoping in a couple weeks, we will have better weather. Everyone will have done their taxes, so they should be more free to ride.
For our first ride of the year, I would like to suggest meeting at the parking lot of Bikes@Vienna bike store. We will do an out-and-back 10-15 mile bike ride on the W&OD, catch an early dinner at Plaka Grill (http://www.plakagrill.com/index.html) and then hop back over to Bikes@Vienna, because....
Bikes@Vienna just announced that they will hold a Brompton maintenance class, which includes how to fix a flat and do other adjustments. http://bikesatvienna.blogspot.com/2013/03/brompton-folding-bicycle-class-sunday.html The cost of the 2-hour class (6-8 p.m.) is $45...HOWEVER, this includes your choice of a FREE bike wrench (http://www.ridepdw.com/goods/tools/3wrencho%E2%84%A2-coated) or $20 off of the Brompton Toolkit (http://www.brompton.co.uk/news/16415/brompton-toolkit-is-now-available).
Advance registration is required for the class - so please call Tim at Bikes@Vienna [masked]) to give him your credit card info to hold your spot. (If you live/work nearby, you can stop in anytime beforehand and register in person).
If perhaps the weather is rainy prior to the ride, I will reschedule the ride for another day, and we can still meet for the class.
I hope you can join us!
