Hot Chocolate Ride & Christmas Lights!

For the Last Brompton Club Ride of 2013, we will meet at the White House and bike to have some great hot chocolate at a shop in Alexandria that has been voted one of the top 15 places to have hot chocolate in America, according to Fodor's Travel! :)  The ride to Alexandria is approximately 8 miles.

Afterwards, we will return to DC, and stop to see the Christmas lights both at Capitol Hill and at the White House. :)   So, in order to best be prepared for the night-time portion of the ride, please make sure you bring along both a headlight and tail light for your Brompton.  If you don't have lights yet, you can purchase some relatively inexpensive ones at your nearby bike store.

Hope you can join me for our last ride of 2013!

It was a little chilly/windy, but not too bad. Hot chocolate was very tasty and welcomed, and hanging out at the Artfully Chocolate store, viewing the artwork. Ride back to DC was nice and viewing the two Christmas trees and lights were lovely. Neat to see the lighted glass rooftop (Christmas colors, that changed) and the lighted Christmas wreaths at the Botanical Garden. Stopped at the ice skating rink on the Mall to view the skaters.

Enjoyed all aspects of this ride!! From the windy 14th st. Bridge to the scrumptious hot chocolate, my fellow Bromptonites kept me safe and showed me sights from a new vantage point!
    Thanx guys!
