gah... why aren't there any chicago suburbs groups... its always downtown chicago...

I guessed that... you are the only group that i could find that is within a 50 mile radius. i already guessed you were a chicago specific group.wouldn't mind if you guys were in joliet, hell, even in dekalb. Chicago is just too dangerous for me... last time i went to chicago i was nearly hijacked on garfield road. only thing that saved me was a throttle pinned to the floor.
If ypu're looking for suburb meetups, look for the Midwest Brony Division on Facebook. They do a lot of stuff out at College of DuPage and that area. Erika and I started this group for those of us who either didn't want to go out that far or didn't / don't have the means to go out that far (i.e., I don't drive, makes going to Elgin kinda difficult.)
Don't have Facebook. Ever since the stalker incident I had, Facebook is too dangerous.
When you live in Chicago, gunshots and screaming is normal behavior. I live in the safest part of my town, we heard an explosion and half the block thought there was a war.
One time we*
Anyways, midwestria is cancelled. 2 year hiatus. Which means you guys are the only group left.
Chicago isn't that dangerous especially in the city. The south and west sides are more of what you think but more exadurated(auto correct couldn't help me this time)

I under stand that. But I still hear all the stories of the crips, kings, blood, even crooked cops. I might come by. But i would rather keep with the suburbs. Especially since my only way in is through Eisenhower.
Have you tried the Metra?
Every city has their gangs no matter were you go. Its all the matter of common sense.
The metra goes through palatine. I've used it before. Hell, the station is a light jog away from me.
I know. Palatine deals with gangs too. But they are more wannabe's then gangsters.
Kevin McCoy is trolling

Other then Kevin's second comment, I totally agree that a meetup in the suburbs would be awesome. I'm usually more willing to drive from the South Suburbs -- where I live -- to the North Suburbs over going down town.
I'm not trolling. If I were trolling, it would be on a hackers level. I don't kiddy troll. As for Joel, I live in the northwest suburbs. Around barrington, Schaumburg, dupage, palatine, etc.
*clicks enter* oops. Midwest bronies seem to be on a hiatus. Their next meet up is 2 hours away from me, and the meet up is in a month. >.<
Sorry something came up. Im sorry I can not join you.
I already have plans for this Saturday night. One of these days I'll actually be able to make it to one of these...
Looking forward to joining in one of these times, but this Saturday's a no-go. Have fun.
I didn't realize how late it was
After the weekend I had in Vegas for LPU, I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit this one out. This weekend is going to be just me hanging out with people in Milwaukee.
IDK if l might bring someone or not.
Sorry, I'm busy elsewhere.
