It's finally time for the mane styling meet! Bring your brushables, brushes, bobby pins, small rubber bands, scissors, painting/masking tape and straws. If you want to study up, we will be using a lot of tricks from Scaromouche-Fandango's guide.
Location: Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library
Room: CPK First Floor Auditorium (lower left on map)
The meeting room is on the first floor - just go in the main doors, hang a right, and go through the distant doorway. The meeting room will be on the left. There are restrooms and a drinking fountain on the left, next to the auditorium.
Riftwing will go over the basics of mane styling before opening the meet into a workshop where those that know a thing or two about styling can help those that don't. Expect to get wet, so know where your towel is!
There is both a computer hook-up and a DVD player at this library, with built-in projector and speakers. I did not test them, but we will make it work! A few have posted in the meetup's comments about bringing in a computer. Feel free to, or to decide between yourselves who brings what. Riftwing will bring the Royal Wedding DVD if we don't have anything else.
There will also be painting customs - so bring anything you want to mod. Also bring paint and paint remover (if not water based). We don't want to leave a mess! Anyone interested in a silly G3 custom earth pony, Riftwing has white blanks that she will provide for a $5 reimbursement off of Library property.
If you have these, please bring them:
Your ponies, with your name or some identifier on them
Straws (they will be cut)
Bobby pins or small binder clips
Painter's tape or masking tape that's not very sticky
Cup/Bowl large enough for your pony to fit in completely
Water heater (like for tea or ramen)
A box or vat for safe travel afterwards. Many of the ponies will be still drying and will need to make it safely back home with their hair curlers intact. Ben volunteered to make some (by request) that sound great!
Anything you wanted to do with customs - paint, markers, etc. Please bring paint remover in case of spills but really - just don't spill :)
Those that don't want to style but want to hang out can. You can bring food and drink if you want.
This is right next to the zoo, too. If folks aren't too fussed with carrying around boxes of ponies, we can swing by the zoo after the meetup to check out the Zoolights.
