Posted this on the RSVP thing too but didn't see this forum until now.
I'm in Bethesda for an internship this summer so I missed my normal Dallas con, and I was thinking about going to Otakon Saturday and Sunday. I don't care to spend the money on a room, so I'm just driving both days. If anyone is nearby or on the way I can offer carpool services so we can all save on gas/parking/wanderingaroundbaltimoreinth emiddleofthenightbuddies. |

UPDATE!
I am trying to finalize my Otakon Room. It is at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel. Currently confirmed staying with me are: - Engineer - Twilight Sparkle' (PAID) - Erik Nick said he can't go, so next for the room spot is BFV. I called the hotel and they say all 5 of us can have key cards. There are 2 beds, but rooms have not been assigned so I don't know if we will have a couch/rollaway. I have air mattresses tho. I'll want payment before the con, $142 each, preferably paid via PayPal. We can go over the room details via e-mail. I'll likely drive up (from Rosslyn) and we can carpool, too, if desired. I'm going, gonna be close on money though. Hopefully my roommates can attend ( or new roommates, but I'm reserving room for friends I book with for the past 2 years first, I think one is going to attend with me )
Ive been in the Sharaton inner harbor hotel since 05' but have been attending Otakon since 04. I only missed one year in between that and it was 08 because my job screwed me over on vacation. I actually found out 2 years ago a friend of mine is the lawyer for the Con and another helps in the Video room. But over all it's been a blast, I meet up with good friends for 10+ years every year there that live in Maryland and we usually have a blast. Edited by Stargazer on Jul 9, 2012 2:12 PM |

Alright, here's my situation. I'm taking yet another summer class which thankfully doesn't interfere with Otakon, but it's a night class which runs until 9 PM and I'll have to be there Thursday. According to this, it takes about 30 minutes to get to the BCC from there. If someone could do me a favor and pick me up from there and take me to the con, I'd appreciate that. If I remember correctly, Thursday badge pickup ends at 10 PM, so I can hopefully get my badge at the last minute that night and not have to tough out the miserable Friday badge pickup process.

Totally going this year after a 3 year hiatus, mostly due to busyness and partly due to waning interest. However the interest has spiked again and I can't wait to go! I definitely can't miss the Jason David Frank panel, that totally caught me off guard since he's not embedded in voice acting like Johnny Young Basch so I'm surprised he's there at all, but that doesn't matter, he's there and its being to be. So. Awesome. /)^3^(\
Oh and of course I'm going for the expected conglomeration of pony fans everywhere. Can't wait to see you all there! I'm still pondering if I'm going to cosplay.
