Bronies-NYC Beach Body Challenge!

I have heard many of you (including myself) say you would like to get back in shape or drop a few extra pounds but lack motivation. So how's about we motivate one another with a little friendly competition?

 

Before anypony gets all offended,

Please understand that this comes from a place of health and fun,

Not judgment or scorn. <3

I think we have a wonderful group of people here who all love and support one another so why not field some of that energy into another positive activity?

PLAN:

We meet at Pearl for a starting weigh in and share ideas and goals. Three months later we have a final weigh in and see the results. Also, there will be prizes, awards, hugs and manly tears.

PRIZES:

There will be two prize categories: One for MOST OVERALL WEIGHT LOSS and one for MOST OVERALL PERCENTAGE LOST. I will contribute plushies to the prize pool and encourage other artists to chip in as well.

GOAL:

To bring the group close together with an activity outside ponydom.

To celebrate with a big Beach Party a la Pony Island Redux.

And to be the sexiest Brony Meetup group (already accomplished). ;)

    I feel bad that i missed this segment of the meetup. I was afraid of what the scale would say. I usually weigh myself every monday when i eat the same thing to avoid any variables in water weight.

    I want to get back in shape to start training grappling again. This is perfect motivation! I must do this. My goal is not so much weight loss but strength/endurance gain. I'm a skinny dude but I'm out of shape - time to fix that. Funny I say this while chomping down a pack of Chewy Chips Ahoy :3

    How high does your scale go up to, Sarah? I've put a LOT of weight back on this Winter (I've been a bad, bad pony) and at 6'6" tall that means... embarrassingly enough, over 350 pounds.

    But... if I lose any weight I'll probably die... so this would be counter-intuitive to me. I'd rather GAIN the weight from adding muscle mass, but I guess I'm a bit of a unique case. Trust me, I may be a lightweight, but I am by far NOT the picture of perfect health. I'll definitely join you guys over the summer for activities - perhaps I'll manage to convince someone to join me for the trek to the baconery (on foot from east village).

    So don't count me out, but don't count me in either, I'll have to think on how I fit into this all.

      Yes it's in the same room and yes you can talk to people if you like but it's not going to be a planned out speaking time XD You could print up some advice or sit at the table with me and ask if anyone wants advice/help.
