Nightmare Nights Dallas - Volunteer Meeting

Nightmare Nights is less than 100 days away and we need your help! Running a convention is a lot of work before the event but the actual weekend is even crazier. We made it work last year through the efforts of our amazing volunteers and we'll need even more this time.

This meeting is to get to meet and greet some of the senior staff of the convention, touch base with folks you might not have seen in a while, and an opportunity to get involved in DFW's own pony convention.

This is not a mandatory meeting, just an informal gathering to meet folks and answer questions.

Hello. I realize it's kinda late to be jumping in, considering it's just the day before. (gotta stop procrastinating this stuff) I'm planning on showing up to this thing. I've never gone to any kind of brony meetup or anything before. But I thought I'd do so, just to do something different for a change. It sounds like this is a meetup to prepare for a convention or something, and establish who's doing what, am I correct? Assuming I'm free (which I probably will be), and assuming this convention is in the state of texas, I can volunteer to do something. I'll be bringing a friend tomorrow, too. I hope this is alright, jumping into the event last minute, like this. Anyway, I'll see all of you 20:00 tomorrow.

It's Featherprop's department, and thus he can call it whatever he wants, but I'm hoping for the ART.

I would like to volunteer but I only have one problem and that is getting there, I don't have a car or ride to get there.

Don't worry if you can't make the meeting, it's just to get a chance to meet folks. If you want to volunteer, head over to http://nightmarenight... and fill out a volunteer app so we can get your contact info and see what you want to do!

Security Lead here, I won't be able to make the meeting, but anyone interested in being part of the Goon Squad should talk to Bob and Leatherneck about it to see what they think!

Gooning at cons has a long and storied tradition, and is a great way to get involved. There's a lot of helping people have fun while superficially maintaining order, so whether you like standing around, sitting around, walking around, (those who enjoy hobbling or rolling around are welcome too!), it's a great way to be on the inside and help the con run smoothly!

I can vouch for the statement above. Everything runs relatively smoothly, and things going awry is a rarity. But being part of the "Goon Squad" is a lot of fun, and you should join it too.

THIS IS NOT MANDATORY! We're just drumming up local support. We'd like you to make it if you possibly can, but this is not the only meeting we'll be having. You do not need to either Skype or phone in. Since we'll be in a public restaurant, it's not really an option, anyway. We're going to eat dinner, talk about where we need help, and answer questions.

I'll let my bosses know, but this isn't a mandatory meeting, right? I might need to work that Friday.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
