MLP Jam session

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • There is a cool website (http://www.everyponys...) that has chords, tabs, sheet music, and lyrics to most of the songs from the show. Would anypony be interested in meeting up and playing the songs? We can't use my house, so somepony else would have to provide a place to meet up and jam. I play the bass guitar so we'd need a good guitarist, drummer, and somepony to provide the vocals to start.

Guys, if a tentative date could be added to all announced meetups it would help prevent them from languishing in meet up hell and never actually coming to fruition. The date doesn't have to be the final date, but it will spark a discussion of a final date.

It should probably be set by somepony willing to host the jam session at their house. Try not to conflict with the other one too.

Funny, I suggested something identical to this, but hey! The more the merrier! I play guitar, drums, and a little bit of piano, and I'd be happy to get in on this!

I don't play any instruments, but I'm a decent singer if you still need a female voice.

I have been playing guitar for over seven years and have had several other music courses and knowledge. I even know how to play a few pony songs by ear, and might even teach you guys some! I can't promise anything, but I will make this one if I can.

Been playing guitar for nine and a half years and I've been told I can sing decently. I'm afraid that I can't host this event but I can bring along my bass, a couple of electric guitars, as well as two acoustics.

the find a pet song is by far my favorite, its a lot of fun to play, too. Lots of quick chord changes. It would be epic if we could get some ladies to do the fluttershy/rainbow dash duet, when they harmonize at the end it just sounds gorgeous (even though they are singing in a cartoony sounding voice).

yall look through the website and pick out a song that you feel you could confidently play, I would suggest looking at the chord charts to one of the more simple songs. Just strum the chords, nothing fancy.

Sounds fun! Too bad I'm not great with my guitar. I've never sang in front of anyone before (car singing, whoo), so I don't know if I'm any good at that.
