Would you like to use an existing pony toy to create a one of a kind pony for yourself? I'd like to host a party for everyone who would like to give this a try. You can either bring your own toy to mod or get with me and order a blank pony from the Hasbro store for $5.
Supplies you will need:
Paint markers or fine point sharpies (gold and silver ones work great) for cutie marks
Koolaid in the color you want the hair dyed. (this will only work for white hair, or the hair found on the pony blanks)
Acrylic paints (some of these will be available, but if you have particular colors you might want to bring them)
If you would like to do a hair mod (taking out the pony's existing hair and replacing it with longer / more / different colored hair) please get with me and I can explain what supplies you will need. This is an advanced mod.
Likewise, if you would like to add body parts to your pony with clay I can help with that as well. This is also an advanced mod.
Paint brushes of various sizes.
Other supplies will be made available at the party when we set up.
I was looking at ordering a few blank ponies to paint/dye/create my own http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/my-little-pony-decorate-your-own-pony-98792?BR=704&SBR=303&ST=SO&PG=1 and it ends up that while the ponies themselves are $5 each, the shipping is twice that. However, they have free shipping for orders over $50. If I can get at least 10 folks who want one we can get some pony blanks for cheap! Anyone interested?
For an idea of what kinds of pony mods are out there, do a google image search for "custom my little pony". https://www.google.com/search?q=custom+my+little+pony&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=uKv5T_boDKeQ2QW2otW_Bg&ved=0CEQQ_AUoAQ&biw=1153&bih=699
