Update on Date: Official release date set for Friday, December 13th! The date of the meetup is solidly Saturday, December 14th. Let the games begin.
Here we go guys, the moment we've all been waiting for. Or at least the one I've been waiting for. The release of the My Little Pony: Collectible Card Game. Yeah, it’s about to get real.
This December, the card game is being released, but so far there isn’t an official date.
On the closest Saturday following the release, we'll be meeting up at Showtime: Sports Cards, cracking packs, throwing decks together, playing casual games, and experimenting with competitive formats for sealed deck, drafts, and standard. If you're brand new to card games and aren't sure how to get started, we'll have more than a few veterans of Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon to talk to about how to play card games in general and what to look for. If you are a veteran, we'll need your help building new strategies, and compiling tricks and tips for those interested.
Basically, it’s going to be the best, but there a few things you can do to make it even better. We have a venue, but obviously they want to know how much stuff they should order in. The last thing we want if for them to run out of cards, or for them to be way overstocked. So, how much should they order?
I may have no idea, but you guys do. It doesn’t need to be super exact, but RSVP to fill out a small field and let us know how much you’re planning on buying. Every person who RSVP’s and tell’s us what they plan to get, no matter how great or little, will be a huge help and get a FREE BOOSTER PACK from me (Takashi) at the event.
Booster packs: ~$3.49 each
Starter Decks: ~$10.99 each
Booster Boxes: ~$99.99 each
To pre-order call the store and tell them what's up.
