MLP Card Game: BOP league,Tournament 1

Alright ladies and gents, it's time for some competitive play! This Saturday we're going to be holding our first tournament at Showtime: Sports cards.

There will be a five dollar buy-in with all entry money going back to the winners in the form of store credit.

All matches will be the best two of three games with a one hour time limit. At the end of the time limit, the player with the highest point total will be granted the game.

The tournament will follow standard tournament style seeding. All players will play three matches and the four players with the highest ELO (or rating/win-loss ration) will be into a ladder. The first two losers will play each other to determine fourth place.

Should there at least 16 players, the top eight will be used.

Deck lists must be submitted to the head judge (Main deck, problem deck, and mane character). They must follow the deck-building regulations as listed in the manual. Players, in addition, may enter a 10 card side-board that the number of copies of a card you may have in either you main deck, your problem deck, or your mane character slot apply to.

Any rule misinterpretations, depending on the severity of the violation will result in either points awarded to the disadvantaged player or game restart at the discretion of the judge. Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in game loss or disqualification at the discretion of the judge.

If you wish to register formally with the BOP league, win-loss ratios and ELO tracking can be recorded. Leader boards will be posted after each event. Enterplay may utilize our information when they create their own ranking system, so I'd suggest doing that!

Do I have to create my list of cards at home or will the event provide sheets? also, what is a card side-board? does it mean Side deck?

The event will provide simple lined paper to fill out for your deck list. Since there is no official deck registration sheet for the game yet, we're going to most likely play it by ear.

Also, yeah. A sideboard is like a side-deck, a pool of cards you can choose to switch out in-between games in a match.
