The Wonderbolts Crash Course Training Camp

Hey everypony!

Have you ever wanted to soar high above the clouds like the Rainbow Dash and The Wonderbolts?? Well now you can be on your way to doing just that!

Join us for a beginner hang gliding lesson taught by the largest school on the West coast, Mission Soaring Center.

The retail store is in Milpitas, but the training grounds are somewhere near Hollister. Stay tuned for more information.

You have to be between 13 and 80 years old and between 90 and 290 lbs.

Tickets are usually $160 per person, but right now for the next few hours, Groupon has it for $80. Better act quick!

As of writing this, there's only me and two friends going on this date and time. Mission Soaring Center can only take between 15 - 20 people per time slot. Let's try to cram that with BONC!

UPDATE (2/5/13): Here's the link for the Groupon deal.

Looks like it's still going on, so get your ticket!
Once you get your confirmation number from Groupon, call[masked] to reserve your spot. The person will ask for your confirmation number so have it handy. Go for the single 11 AM slot. If person says there are two slots, go for the later one at 2:30 PM. I think the 8:30 AM one is a little too early. She said the hours can change a little during the summer which is why there could be two sessions in one day.
Copy/paste from Groupon description: In an introductory lesson, students cover theory during an orientation and ground-school session and watch an introductory video. Then, they spend some time in a simulator, donning a training harness and learning basic control movements. Afterward, they head to a training hill for practice gliding, first on the ground and later with small hill liftoffs using equipment provided by the center.
Training grounds location: The training center is located at the corner of Quien Sabe Rd. and Hwy. 25 in Tres Pinos. The center does not have a numerical address. This is where we will meet.

Check out the FAQ page on their site for more information.

UPDATE (2/17/13): Wear comfortable clothes, tennis shoes or hiking boots; something you can run in. Bring lots of water/beverage, something to eat, and sun protection. We will be there about 5 hours.
Call[masked], option #2, to confirm the class before you drive out there. You will hear a recorded message that says either, "Yes, please be on time" or "No, due to adverse weather please call and reschedule."

UPDATE (2/17/13) #2: Flight time has changed from 11 AM to 2:30 PM due to the longer days of Summer. I have updated the time to reflect this. I have also added an approximate ending time.
I have updated the meeting place to a more exact location. Click this link here https://maps.google.com/maps?q=%4036.789840,-121.313675 or click "Mission Soaring Center - Training Center" above to see. Park off the road near the gate. Our instructor will meet us there. If you arrive late, hop the metal gate and walk about 1 mile down the dirt road to the equipment shed. Keep all gates closed as this is private property.

UPDATE (3/6/13 8:15 AM): I just called Mission Soaring Center and they said today's lesson is a go, but told me to call back three hours before the lesson to reconfirm. I will reupdate here when I do.
Looks like they updated their website with the exact spot of the Tres Pinos training site. http://www.hang-gliding.com/contact-us

UPDATE (3/6/13 11:55 AM): I just called. They said the weather looks good and the 2:30 PM lesson is on! Be on time! See you there!
