A night at the symphony not only provides a lasting memory of refined musical prowess; it also keeps patrons from resorting to the boring routine of watching the TV boil. Mix up the routine with today's GrouponLive deal to see The Lord of the Rings in Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring at the Honda Center on Saturday, October 15, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Choose between the following options:

  • For $34, you get one reserved ticket for seating in sections 401–406 or 439–444 (up to a $66.50 value, including all ticketing fees).
  • For $44, you get one reserved ticket for seating in sections 101–106, 201–209, or 221–228 (up to an $86.50 value, including all ticketing fees).

The mystical world of Middle Earth comes to life during The Lord of the Rings in Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring, in which more than 200 musicians playing Howard Shore's transcendent Oscar-winning score accompany the hit Peter Jackson film. As the movie is pristinely projected across a 60-foot screen, celebrated maestro Ludwig Wicki rallies the happy hobbits of the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale, and Phoenix Boys Club in a quest to soundtrack the film with living voices and rousing orchestration. The sweeping emotion of Tolkien’s tall tale is captured in mingling musical worlds, as the orchestra lacquers the fantasy epic with lilting lullabies, operatic suspense, and banjo getaway music. All fans attending the show receive access to a special exhibition of real props from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which includes hobbit feet, Frodo’s sword, which is named Sting, and a special appearance by Andy Serkis as “room temperature.”
