I keep wanting to come to your meetings but I live north of NYC and sometimes it's hard. I will look you all up at Bryant Park. I will be performing with a group from the American Accordionists Association. I think we're doing "New York, New York." Have a great performance!

The performance piece has been decided! Does anybody have a bell or something that we can use as a Campana? It will be cool to have something like that!!
If you don't have an accordion, you can join us as chorus! Hope to see a lot of you there!

do you mean a regular Bell or cowbell I'll come campana is considered a cow bell in Spanish
it will depend on what it is you are playing if you are going for merengue all salsa you would need a cow bell if not I can steal a school bell and bring that lol
If you're speaking about the low tamtam part, it would probably be best to do without. The part will sound corny unless you have a really low drum or tubular bell. Then again, we are performing on accordions, and I _might_ bring a unicycle. :)
Lmaohey I am a newbie I'm just trying to fit in so don't hate and just be specific on what it is I have to bring with much love bubble mania
No hate here. Bubbles welcome. I'd avoid bringing a pitched percussion instrument like a bell or it might clash. If you think you have something that would work, great! Get the score from Mayumi, listen to the audio track, and check the pitch of your bell.

No hate, no bells! Sorry for the confusion! Lets stick to accordion only this time : )
boy I hope I did not offend anyone I was just trying to make light of the situation

What is the piece?
the piece we will be playing is "De Profundis" by Arvo Part. Andrew, I sent you an email yesterday. I will send you via meet up again. Edwin, I will send you one also.
Thanks, been quite busy so I haven't seen your email yet but will later today. I either don't know this work by Part or have heard it and can't remember the title... Will any of the percussion instruments I have be useful in the performance?
I have a small finger cymbal, a triangle and other percussion instruments - tambourines with and without jingles, darbukas and a djembe, a wooden tone drum, wood block, claves and assorted soft and hard felt, wooden and rubber mallets
I thought this was accordionists playing before passers-by - If we're playing ensemble-wise sure I can bring the accordion and recorders :)

Andrew, Brooklyn Accordion Club will be playing as an ensemble. If accordion is too heavy, you can bring your flute!
Edwin, if the accordion is too heavy, you can just bring yourself! More people the merrier! Hope to see you then!
Oh yes I will b there ty c u there
I have a *small* accordion, remember? No problem to bring it with the recorders... ;)
