Brooklyn Accordion Club meeting

"Brooklyn Accordion Club aims to build a community of accordion players of all levels and admirers in the heart of Brooklyn."

Admission: $3 to $5 sliding scale (The  admission will cover the space rental fee/meet up organizer dues. Thanks!).

Beginners are encouraged to perform! Performing for audience is a great way to improve your skills and to overcome your stage fear!  BAC audience are very friendly and casual : )

    Depends a bit on what your level is and what you're interested in playing. Jazz vs. Classical vs. Balkan vs. Tango vs. French etc etc. Different teachers are good for different things. Give us some details and we'll see what the crowd can do for you for recommendations.

      Oh, and it looks like he also teaches via Skype, but personally I find lessons are generally better in person when possible.

      Dallas is a super nice guy and a great player. He leads the Philadelphia Accordion Club, a sister club of BAC : ) Also, in Westmont NJ, there is ACME accordion school.

      Depends of what your level is and what you're interested in playing style-wise: jazz vs classical vs. french vs. tango vs balkan etc etc. Different teachers are good for different things. Give us some details and we'll see what the crowd can do for suggestions.

      I take lessons as well, and I enjoy them too : ) you can take a couple of lessons to learn about the instrument and decide if lessons are for you or not.
