This group was created to unite parents, of autistic children together. to discuss the highs, the lows, the joy and frustrations of being parents with a child with a ASD. (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
As a mom with a son on the spectrum, Aspergers, I wanted to start this group so parents can get together and discuss new breakthroughs, difficulties we might be facing, plan play dates, have movie days, have workshops on strengthening your relationships with your spouse/partner and child. Basically create a warm inviting space where you can connect with others who understand what it is like to have a child on the spectrum.
Please feel free to join our group if you have a child on the spectrum, know someone who does and want to learn more about this growing disorder. You don't have to live in Brooklyn to join this group, but most of the meetings will take place there, so if your willing to travel, join. If you live in the city and can offer a space for meetings let me know.
