After significant delays and rescheduling... We are finally building this fence for the Doe Fund. I have been working on it this week and will continue to prepare the components next week. For the weekend of September 7th and 8th we will be on-site, breaking ground for this project. By the end of the weekend I hope we have several panels joined and pegged. We could potentially build half of the fence during that weekend. Depending on how it goes, I will likely be scheduling another meet up / install date for a later weekend in September to finish with this fence.
The fence we are building is made of all locally sourced black locust and utilizes all-natural construction including dry-laid posts and mortise and tenon joinery. The fence is part of a larger project that is a collaboration between The Doe Fund, The New York Horticulture Society, and Ecotone Building. Come check us out to learn more!
