Labor Day Picnic!!

Join us and the Big Apple Corps for their annual RPCV end-of-summer potluck picnic! Bring something to share with the group, and whatever you'd like to drink. Our two groups will meet in Prospect Park. Take the 2/3 to Grand Army Plaza. Walk up hill through the large arch to the entrance to Prospect Park. People should enter Prospect Park at Grand Army Plaza. Walk on the path that is on the left side of the road that goes into the park. Follow the path about 50 meters going through a tunnel straight onto the main lawn. The Big Apple Corps will be organizing this, and they are setting up under the trees on the left hand side after you exit the tunnel.
Please call if you cannot find the group!!

Sunday, September 1, 12:30 PM. Heavy rain cancels.

    ***Location change***

We will meet at Teresa's apartment and walk over to the south end of park from there at about 1:00 if no rain....

Take the Q train to Church Ave, and exit at the back of the train. Turn right out of the station. Corner of Caton and Ocean Ave.

Address: 416 Ocean Ave. Apt. 94

PLEASE call (917)[masked] for more information, or if you arrive after 1:15 (when we head to the park)

Join us for our annual end-of-summer potluck picnic! It's a great chance to re-connect with the group after a busy summer. Bring something to share, and whatever you'd like to drink. We will be joining the Brooklyn/Queens RPCV meetup group and the RPCV's of Greater New York (Big Apple Corps) group for this event.

Bring food or drink to share!

I din't have a list, and there is no where to BBQ meat. If folks who are attending want to post here what they are bringing, that would be great!

A bbq without a grill? Hmmmm

There are only certain areas of the park that people are allowed to grill (and I don't own a grill) so we've generally kept this even to a picnic. I welcome a grill if someone has one, and let me know....I'll bring hotdogs! However with the impending rain and the location change, not sure we will use it......

I am bringing some yakisoba (Japanese noodles - vegan) and maybe a dessert. Is anyone bringing plastic plates or bowls?

Please watch this listing or call my cell for weather updates--heavy rain means we will change location!

Is there a way to have a list of who is bringing what? Would be horrible to have lots of burgers and hotdogs but no condiments or buns. Or just a bunch of chips and hummus.

Just a reminder, Big Apple Corps is organizing this, and I will be out of town. Please contact Janet if you have any questions or have trouble finding where they are set up! Should be really fun!
