Peace Corps Night with the Brooklyn Cyclones!

Let's celebrate Peace Corps, summer's arrival and the great sport of baseball with the Brooklyn Cyclones at MCU Park on Tuesday, June 17th! The evening will include:

• A designated seating section and souvenir baseball hats for members of the Peace Corps family.

• Special recognition for RPCVs, including having RPCVs throw out the first pitch and sing the National Anthem. • Prior to the start of the game, the Cyclones will recognize the Peace Corps and the New York residents who have served as Peace Corps Volunteers with a Parade of Flags during the opening ceremonies. Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who will be attending the game are encouraged to participate in this fun tribute to our legacy of making a difference in communities overseas. Invite your family & friends to take part in the celebration!

Ticket purchase information is available below! Enter the code PEACE to ensure that your seat is in the Peace Corps section.

The flag prep, the parade, the crowd, the weather, the game, the fireworks. I'm floating.

For those RPCVs going to the Cyclone game here's a Brooklyn baseball story: The first PCV from Brooklyn (Colombia 1, 1961) caught two games in Ebbets Field (home of the Brooklyn Dodgers) and and had two tryouts with the team (1956, 57). One of the other catchers the Dodgers were evaluating in those days was Joe Torre.

Ciao folks … sorry to hijack this a bit … currently seeking a 1 or 2 br apartment to rent (lease, not sublet) in Manhattan (preferred) or Brooklyn/Queens. Max budget of $1300-$1500. Knowing PC folks are always in and out .. thought I might be able to get a pointer from one or 2 of you.

    Cheers.
