In the T. Don Hutto "Family Detention Center" in Taylor, Texas, children as young as infants are imprisoned together with their mothers. The mothers are imprisoned for being in the United States without the proper documents. Grassroots Leadership, a national non-profit founded in 1980 by organizer/musician Si Kahn, has been working for the past three years to shut Hutto once and for all, and to abolish the appalling new practice of "immigrant family detention." Please come hear Si Kahn talk about the Campaign to End Immigrant Family Detention, and what each of us can to end "immigrant family detention" once and for all

Nancy R.Si Kahn is a great speaker, and educated us about prisons in this country, and particularly prisons run by private for-profit companies that detain families with children, whose only crime is to be undocumented. Si Kahn is also a singer-compose
r and sang three songs that he had written, one specifically about the immigrant prison called Hutto.
