We are merging our group with the Brooklyn Entrepreneurs (BKE) group

Brooklynites!

In an effort to throw the best events possible, we are combining with the Brooklyn Entrepreneurs (BKE) meetup group!

Our first event will be tomorrow eve at the BK Law School.  Free beer and drinks will be provided by the good Brooklynites at Lost Tribes Brew and we have collected an amazing panel of speakers from successful business spanning the tech, manufacturing, and local sectors of BK.  This'll be a chance for attendees to gain knowledge and resources on how kick ass businesses are made in BK.

Our speakers include:

Tanya Menendez and Matthew Burnett, Founders of Makers Row

Maker’s Row is a Dumbo-based online marketplace for American manufacturers with network of over 3k manufacturers and 30K designers and brands looking to create products in the USA.  Tanya and Matt were listed on Business Insiders 2013 list of the 100 Coolest People in NY Tech and their company has also been featured on NPR, Forbes, and CNBC.

Su Sanni, CEO & Cofounder of WeDidIt

Su, from East NY Brooklyn, is the CEO of  WeDidIt, a brooklyn based tech company that helps nonprofit organizations fundraise. WeDidit’s customers include Amnesty International, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, NYC Coalition Against Hunger and Stupid Cancer. Alex Bender, Co-Founder of Tri-Lox Workshop

Tri-Lox Workshop is a Brooklyn-based design and build practice and were winners of the NYC EDC's Business Innovation Challenge grant.  Tri-Lox explores and reinterprets the dynamic relationship between the built environment and those who activate it through the development of public, commercial, residential, and exhibition spaces using sustainable materials and ethical production.   In collaboration with Build It Green! NYC, Tri-Lox also runs BIG!Millworks, a sawmill program for disadvantaged New Yorkers to learn the skills necessary to start a career in sustainable building industries.

Looking forward to the new group. I write the Brooklyn Tech Blog, so if you have a great startup, let me know. Also I'm a UX designer, so I may be able to give you a tip on how to improve your product's UI.
