    Volunteers are always welcome!!
Email [masked]. Think about how would you like to volunteer! (Transport cats to and from fosters/vets, foster a cat/ organize an event etc).

As for the event... Contact: Jarret Yoshida, [masked], [masked] Brooklyn Animal Action will host its Party for Paws Fundraiser for Rescue Animals on Sept. 17 at Stone Park Café at 324 Fifth Ave., 3rd Street entrance, Bklyn, NY 11215 (25/30 Zagat stars) from 6:30pm - 10:30pm. The event will feature a custom menu including artisanal drinks (TomCat Collins, anyone?), and a silent auction. Guests will have the opportunity to browse a brochure of adoptable animals and find out more about fostering or adopting an animal in need.

Tickets start at $50 per guest, with proceeds benefiting the organization’s animal rescue programs. For tickets, visit [http://www.eventbrite.com/event...#].

how about gathering to make a pitch/presentation which will be sent to various organizations to increase awareness, so that they can include these shelters/rescued groups in their charity list? i know lots of companies make regular donations to local charities, but very few of charities are animal based. if we can increase their awareness on animals, we can potentially get lots of funding.

i'm just thinking out loud here. How about having a weekly or monthly 5k walk/run that is donation based (if the number of attendees is small) and members are encouraged to wear a custom T-shirt with cat imagine on it, or a less frequent run that requires a fee but get free group T-shirt (for larger group like the NYRR event)? How about sponsoring a cat (virtual adoption)? we, as fundraiser/volunteer, can take pictures of the adoptable kitties and maintain a site for virtual parents and these kitties to show regular updates. How about having a T-shirt competition, where participants are required a small fee to enter. the winner gets his/her design to be printed for a group T-shirt that will be used for any group event for the year, and etc. each participant will receive a free T-shirt. ...

Hi all! All my pets have been rescues. I recently joined Brooklyn Animal Action, a wonderful and dedicated group of volunteers. Recently funding was lost when Maddies Fund closed. An event in Brooklyn is planned for September. It would be a great way to meetup and help this group!

We all love our babies but we must always remember those who dont have people like us in their lives, there are so many who need us! I'd love to hear thoughts, comments, suggestions.
