We will observe the following basic faults:

-Blocking a serve: Don't block a ball that is being served

-Attacking a serve: Meaning when you hit a ball that was served it cannot have a downward trajectory. No over hand hits/poke/tip/jumping to hit a serve.

-Net: no contact with the net during play at all

-Double hitting: Keep hands together or make simultaneous contact with both hands (minimal spin is allowed, otherwise it is considered a double hit)

-Carrying the ball: no prolonged contact with the ball. Must be a quick and clean contact.

-Open hand setting/passing: the ball must be square/have a straight trajectory (minimal spin is allowed, otherwise it is considered a double hit). Rotation: maximum allowable rotation on open hand setting or passing is 2. No more that 2 rotations will be allowed; if it occurs the opposite team will win 1 point and gets possession of the ball.

-No open hand receive on a serve: Your hands must be together when you receive a served ball.

*Teams will call their own faults as well as those of the opposite team.

**If a call is disputed by both teams then no points will be awarded and team will replay the service.

Details about Team Night Structure

1.  Open play from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm for Team Night participants only

2.  Rounds at 7 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm

3.  Games:

A.  3 games in each match

B.  Points: win 1 game = win 1 point

C.  2 game to 21 and 1 game to 15

D.  If a team Forfeits: the opposing team automatically gets 3 points and wins the match

4.  Team captains will be responsible for making sure their team is present and on time.

A. Teams can organize the rotation of their players in any way that they see fit however, the team must respect the serve rotation, If someone on your team serves out of order the opposing team will be awarded a point and gets possession of the ball to serve. There will be no replaying/redo of serve order violations.

5.  Season structure

A.  Round robin: All teams will play each other and earn points. At the end of the round robin teams are ranked by points

B.  Elimination/Play Offs (seeded double elimination):Every team will participate in the playoffs. The order of matches is determined by team ranking from the round robin (rounds 1-5).  Teams can lose one match and still continue advancing in the playoffs. Once a team loses 2 matches they are eliminated.

6.  Substituting players:

A.  Teams are only allowed to sub when they have 3 players present from their original team. If you have 4 or more players present you play as is (if you're short one player, you play with 4 instead of 5). So if a team needs to substitute a player they can only have a maximum of 4 people playing.

B.  You can choose a sub from the people present on around the court RIGHT BEFORE your match (if you play at 8, then you chose someone around 7:45 pm and warm up a little with them).

C.  The opposing team (the team that you are going to play) has to agree with the person that you are subbing in to play before you start the match.

Please cancel/change your RSVP to "NO" if you cant come so that we know if we need substitutes.

Starts at 6:00 pm and ends at 10 pm. HOW TO FIND US: We are on the FRONT 1-2 courts, closest to the parking lot.  Plenty of parking in the lot or on the side street northeast of the parking lot. It's free! Dress in comfy clothes and bring plenty of liquids. Prepare to protect your belongings IF it happens to rain. See ya there for some good 'ole fashioned volleyball games! Email me if you have questions.

Hey Tam quick question, did u even score a point or did the net say u was not jumping high enough lmao

Despite some controversies, great games in deed. Congratulation to No Execuses, you had the first round. The rain may have be a blessing for you guy. Otherwise, you would be too tired to deal with us in the final round. That's OK, we want to beat you guy when you are fresh. So you'll have no excuses for losing to a better team. May the better team (Eat My Sand aka Fluffy Unicorns) win next week.

Its always controversial because its hard to make proper calls by the ref. when they are only noticeable to the people on the court, I guess. Are you saying that it is better for you to play us fresh because you would have had difficulty last night? Because there is no way that beating you would have made us tired. It was an insanely close match though.

Hey Tam, I think u know best that it would of been best that u guys played us while we were tired, honestly I don't think u guys have chance beating us while we are fresh up

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
