December 1st is full of holiday excitement around town!
Join us at 10:30 a.m. for brunch at Alexander's Tavern to start the day. Check out the menu here: http://www.alexanderstavern.com/brunch-menu/
Fell's Point is hosting Old Tyme Christmas throughout this weekend, with live music and a Christmas market, as well as my personal favorite - an egg nog contest. Several of the bars and stores whip up their own recipe and compete with each other to be crowned the best in the neighborhood. More information on the events can be found here: http://www.fellspointmainstreet.org/2012_oldetymechristmas.html
There are a few other things going on in that area/that day, that I will be trying to check out and would welcome anyone to join me.
After Eggnog-ing, (around 2:30/3 p.m.) I will head to the Inner Harbor (using the Circulator) for Tuba Christmas at the Amphitheater. If you've never been before, I highly recommend it. Musicians from all over Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Delaware converge upon the Inner Harbor for a concert from 3-4:30 p.m. of holiday favorites.
Then, on the return to Fells, I will stop in Harbor East along the way to check out some of their Window Displays (and maybe a James Joyce Irish coffee to warm up!). Various shops and restaurants around the neighborhood will feature unique holiday windows decorated by some of the Baltimore area’s most talented local artists, turning Harbor East into a merry masterpiece for the holiday season!
Finally, the Fells Point tree lighting and Lighted Boat Parade will be around 6 p.m. Again, if you have never seen it, this one is a Baltimore classic.
With so many different events in one, I'm sure most will not want to participate in all. Please indicate in your RSVP what part(s) you would be interested in, for planning purposes. And please feel free to not come for brunch to join in later in the day! I can provide my cell phone for anyone that wants to meet up with the group but can't make it until the afternoon.
