OMG...yum...have you tried any of their filled bars? would love to know if they are as good as they sound!

    • Lydia G.

They probably are good. The chips and melting chocolate I get from them is really smooth (not too bitter), even the 70%. Not everything they have is vegan, so read the ingredients or make sure it says vegan --I'm sure you know that, Angela :-)

    Hi everyone,

Since many of you did ask about the slicer that I had used for my zucchini & carrot salad & as I did promised the below are the info. You may buy it from any web or store you may so. I used amazon just to show you the info.

As I call it the giant hourglass pencil sharpener is my favorite for quick zucchini noodles/cucumbers/carrots. Make sure that the zucchini is medium/firm/straight the same goes for the carrots & cucumbers.

The below is god for round & oval vegetables as they don't fit in the other one. If you do use this make sure that you do wet the suction cups on the bottom to stick to the counter. There are many other tools similar to these on amazon.

It was a fabulous day! Thank you so much Allen and Cissy for opening up your home to us. Highlights included the garden tour, marshmallows around the fire pit, and of course the fantastic food (thank you to all the great cooks in our group!) So many wonderful conversations, enjoyed being with all of you. Thanks Lydia and Mauro for bringing the game, that was so much fun! I think Bo had a good day too, he enjoyed cleaning up any scraps accidentally left behind.....

Hey everyone it looks like we will have great weather for Saturday's picnic. I have some chairs available, but you may want to pack a lawn chair. I would like to provide some drinks, any suggestions? Do people still drink soda? I havn't had any response to the beer question. I'm going to ask everyone to fill out a name tag when you get here so that new members will know who is in our group, (and so I won't look stupid trying to remember everyone)

Also not a beer person. Especially if it's hot out, water lemonade or ice tea will do for me.

Good Afternoon, I live in Lower Bucks.. Anyone car-pooling from here...

    July 23

  • Allen Eckert

Wow! Almost full already. I am excited to host this picnic. In addition to our members there will be some members of my family and a few of my neighbors joining us for the day. Some of them are vegan some are not, but they will be for that day:) I plan on starting the picnic in the early afternoon. I will make a big pot of chilli, baked beans, and corn on the cob. The grill will be available for veggie burgers. If there are more than a couple of beer drinkers I'll get a keg. If you don't have a designated driver there is room for a few tents, so throw it in the trunk with your sleeping bag just in case. The fire pit will be ready for vegan marshmallow toasting. I hope to see everyone soon! i'll post more info as I think of it.

    Hi,
I am on my way to becoming 100% vegan. I have been watching a lot of youtube cooking clips. I feel good about this decision and commitment. I hope I can make it to the picnic. If I stick with this the cats can become vegan too. If the cats want to be vegan. I am starting with myself.

Be sure to introduce yourselves, I'll be wearing the cowboy hat. the cupcakes will be great, as my mother will be celebrating her first vegan birthday! Also if anyone has some good music they want to share, put a short playlist on the iPod or iPhone and we will give it a listen.
