Pathfinder: Saga of the Linnorm King

A snapping bow, a burning flame,
A grinning wolf, a grunting boar,
A raucous crow, a rootless tree,
A breaking wave, a boiling kettle,
A flying arrow, an ebbing tide,
A coiled adder, the ice of a night,
A bride's bed talk, a broad sword,
A bear's play, a king's son,
A witch' s welcome, the wit of a thrall,
A sick calf, a corpse still fresh,
A brother's killer encountered upon
The highway, a house half-burned,
A horse who has wrenched a leg,
Are never safe: let no man trust them.

Hey Joe, look at the spell Create Pit in the APG. That seems stupidly strong for a level 2 spell, reflex save or damage and stuck on a pit with a DC of 25 to get out of? Also causes people adjacent to it to make saves or fall in if they end a turn next to it? Not only does it let you shape the battlefield, it's both a damage and disable spell that lasts for 1 round + 1 round a level. It's not on the Witch's spell list, but a wand of that would be crazy.

The only problem with your post is that you wrote it in a place that the Dungeon Master can see it. Our next opponent is now sure to dump Gorrock in a magical pit!

*waves hand* Richard, these aren't the ideas you are looking for...

Tonight, btw, was probably the best game night we've had. I hope most of them go this way, lots of kills, barely any hp damage done to the party.

I'm going Barbarian with the Invulnerable Rager and Elemental Kin Archetypes. I've sacrificed my uncanny dodge for Damage reduction equal to half my barbarian level. With an Int of 8, Wis of 7 and char of 11 this guy will be fun to play. If anyone can find easy ways to get rid of fatigue/exhaustion that would be awesome. Oh, and Gorrock doesn't use ranged weapons, ever.

That site is maintained by paizo and has access to all the core rulebooks (core, GM, APG, ARG, UC, UM, and UE) it's free and not stealing since they put it up.

Well... it seems they weren't exaggerating when they said 'we have 60 hobgoblins in this keep'. Mind you, by that point we had barricaded ourselves in the middle of the keep on the second story, we were pretty fucked

We did take a number of them with us before we lost. Obviously that number was not 60, but I am sure that our gear will help them make up for the loses when they encounter our 2nd group.

I will either create a witch or an alchemist. The witch is a versatile class, that can do a lot of different things but specializes in buffs and debuts and depending on the patron chosen, can deliver area of effect attacks almost as well as a wizard of heal almost as well as a cleric. The alchemist is a heavy damage dealing class specializing in area of effect attacks, but offers very little to the party besides damage (that's a lot of damage). Right now I am leaning towards the alchemist, but if anyone wants me to play the witch instead, let me know.

What's that? Some sort of armored wiccan warrior? What do you call 'mail'ed alchemists? Full Metal Alchemist? Seems like a sort of bizarre twist: A gender confused armored arcane spellcaster. I'm interested in seeing where you can go with it :)

Either should work fine, basically we'd have a shaman in the group if you make them male. You character could be the ritual athame looking for a nice chalice for his Great Ritual or vice versa.

I'll be doing heals, so either a Half-orc that is a Cleric or a Druid. I'm fine playing either one, and I will probably make my final choice on Sunday. I guess I should consider buying a wand of Lesser Restoration for my so-to-be Barbarian friend. Joe, I think either could work well, but given the number of farmsteads we have yet to burn in the Linnorm Kingdoms, an Alchemist could be handy for burning them down. A Witch, well I get the feeling we would get MORE pitchforks and torches in the process of going from town to town then we do now. :D

A witch sounds cool, but that is because I have never seen one in action. I want to play a rogue, but I would like to play a variation of the rogue. Any ideas?

I am happy with anything you pick that doesn't hurt your ability to find traps. I should warn you that Gorrock the Barbarian is not known for his wit, common sense, or social tact, so we may want people to fill those voids :)

Anybody else give more thought to their next character?

I am still figuring on being heals. I did look over and thought of possibly doing a Druid(w/ focus on healing powers). I also peaked at the Advanced Race Guide. I was wondering if something beyond the core races would be an option or if Richard would want it kept simple. I thought of rolling up a transgender Paladin named Mia from Tian Xia, but if I recall someone already called that one.

I don't have the Advanced Race Guide, so it's out. Sorry.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
