Pathfinder: Saga of the Linnorm King

A snapping bow, a burning flame,
A grinning wolf, a grunting boar,
A raucous crow, a rootless tree,
A breaking wave, a boiling kettle,
A flying arrow, an ebbing tide,
A coiled adder, the ice of a night,
A bride's bed talk, a broad sword,
A bear's play, a king's son,
A witch' s welcome, the wit of a thrall,
A sick calf, a corpse still fresh,
A brother's killer encountered upon
The highway, a house half-burned,
A horse who has wrenched a leg,
Are never safe: let no man trust them.

Yeah, and your play is next Friday was it? I forgot to get one of the cards

Something I forgot to tell the "accountant" ... she also had mithral breastplate (agile).

Rusty, you need to update your picture man. What I was expecting to get, and what we actually got were not even close. Talk about False Advertising. Where's the beard, where's the hair?!?!?
I mean, I know I don't have a picture up, but that's for practical reasons. Can you imagine how hard it would be to start a game if Richard's place was flooded with hot asian chicks? It's not easy, let me tell you! And that's why I don't have a picture up.

Btw, the picture of me with the tranny's from thailand is at: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=51396625142&set=pb.685935142.-2207520000.1383539312.&type=3&theater

The chick I'm standing next to is the chick I went on the vacation with, but everyone else in that picture is a man.

Some of them are pretty obviously men, but the one on my shoulder was one hot man in a dress let me tell you. I guess that reminds me: ask me about my date in Tokyo with the transsexual if I haven't already told you, that's one of my favorite stories.

LOL! After the play (ends Nov 17th), you will see a complete wipe of facial hair. I am so tired of eating my overgrown moustache and dealing with this silly beard, especially since I am job-searching right now. I'll try to remember to ask you about that story. :)

I am going to be a little bit late so just start without me.

Holy shit, has anyone seen the bard Masterpiece in the Ultimate Magic book: The Dumbshow of Gorroc...? Oh great, he isn't even famous and his stupidity is already song worthy

Yup. A contact the PCs know in one of my games is a geisha-archteype bard who knows mainly masterpieces in dance and wind instrument.

I was also thinking about retraining Gorrock into a Wizard. Now, bear with me, I realize that retraining all 7 levels, a minimum of 3 Feats (no need for extra rage powers, and that's if I keep things like Power Attack), and my one ability point will take a lot of money and take around half a year or so, but think about all the possibilities. Not only will I have all that stored tactical knowledge you can get only from being in the thick of melee for years, and not only will my Power Attack at -2 to hit be a nasty surprise for that sucker who thinks the wizard is easy meat, but I'll also have an Intelligence of 9 and almost be able to cast cantrips. What do you guys think?

I think this is a great idea, but you will have to change his name to Rincewind.

Rincewind could at least cast one spell...

    Three things:

1.) We'll definitely be at the game this weekend, the extraction only caused minor swelling.

2.) I asked before if anyone had scene the HP Lovecraft society's "Call of Cthulhu", but how about their "The Whisperer in Darkness"? That was made more recently, has better production quality, and has sound. It's also 1 hour and 43 minutes long so it's basically a full length movie. I thought it was pretty good, but it definitely misses out on some of the descriptions Lovecraft used in his writings.

3.) I bought the Numenera book Strange Aeons, which is a book about using Lovecraft's techniques as a DM. Technically it's for Numenera, but it doesn't use any of their game mechanics and is more or less an adaption of Lovecraft's "Supernatural Horror In Literature" spelled out into RPG terms. It was written by Monte Cook (creator of Planescape). I have 5 more copies if anyone would like them, it's only 13 pages.

Richard, you may like this. I know you like Lovecraft, and have added some of his elements into the game (at least that's how I see it); I'm sure there's something in this you would find useful.

Good to hear you're feeling better Jim. I'd love to take a look Strange Aeons. We can talk more about it on Sunday.

So I was thinking about Rustys character and I think it would be great if his character could be able to stealth with me. It would provide added security in potentially dangerous situations and also another pair of eyes to look for stuff. Obviously, if he is a heavy armor fighter it will not work, but if the option for a good stealth is there, I think it could help.

No, I saw it, I just didn't think it was an important detail.
That would be cool. I just really don't want to get shanked when I am scouting ahead by myself.
On a side note, tell me how dumb this sounds. I am thinking of taking a level in Wizard for some of the buffer spells and the scribe scroll feats. They have the spell "gravity Bow", which increases my damage from 1d8 to 2d6. Lasts 1 minute per level. I can also scribe scrolls like crazy on the cheap! Transmutation specialists get a +1 to any physical attribute (dex) and..... I can get another furry friend!

Gravity bow is a good spell for ranger-archers. I think my character, while having some stealth, is better at infiltration (for now, stealth increase comes later).

Just a heads up, I'm having that wisdom tooth removed on Friday. I'm hoping it'll just be an easy removal without any oral surgery (my last 2 wisdom teeth were pulled with just local, and I had no swelling or pain at all, didn't even need meds). However, having said that, the entire reason I'm going is that the tooth is causing me problems. I don't think some swelling is going to stop me from playing, but everyone else always talks about how much it hurts, so anything is possible
