RE: [BucksMusic] Does such a program exist?

Thank you for the reply, John. Yes, $249 is too high and I'd very rarely even use such a program. I tried googling around to find such a program, but wasn't finding anything similiar to what I was looking for.

I have the sheet music for a particular song, but it's not what the artist is actually playing on the recording. My sheet music includes the melody and nixes out the fancy stuff the artist actually plays. I don't have the knack for goofing around with things like all the people in the group I've heard. I was trained in classical music, so, if there's music in front of me, I can play what I see. Seems to me people who either taught themselves by picking up a guitar and plunking around OR people who enjoy or play jazz music have this knack.

I did find a youtube video showing the piano keys of someone playing pretty much what the artist is playing in the recording. Maybe I'll watch that a hundred times and see what I can come up with.

Yes.  But the technology, last I
heard, is not as far along as you probably
want it to be and is expensive.  You're not going to
 find something cheap or
free.  Here's what I'm pretty you are looking for

And you'll need some kind of notation software to go with
 it, unless you
have a DAW like SONAR, ProTools or something.  Sibelius
 bundles AudioScore
but you're not going to like the price

And you might be better off getting Finale because there has
 been trouble
with Sibelius' parent company (Avid) closing the UK office
 where all of the
 major developers were located.

And after all is said and done, you'd probably be better off
 earing the
music by slowing it down.  I use Amazing Slow
 Downer.  It's cheap and works
 great.  Find it here

I just learned about Chordify, but it's not what I'm looking
 for.  What I'm
looking for is software that will take a piano recording and
 give you the
composition for what is being played so I could print it out
 and play it
myself.  I'm not looking for the chords, I'm looking
 for what exactly is
being played.  Does anything like this exist?
