Prove Goldbach wrong

  • This is going to be a hands-on session, too.

We are splitting into teams and implementing an algorithm to factor all even numbers into a sum of two primes. Goldbach's conjecture states that all even numbers can be arrived at this way.

The factoring has been done until 4 × 10**18 so there is a chance we cannot disprove him but we'll try :) We are also going to have a little benchmark that measures how fast our programs are, which gives the competitive edge to the game.

Please strive to come at 7:00pm so we can start right away!
