FREE TALK:  Modern Buddhism - Buddha’s advice on connecting to others

Our negative thoughts about others and our busy lifestyles can often make us feel lonely and isolated from other people. However, the truth is we are all interconnected in a web of kindness from which it is impossible to separate ourselves.

On this course we will learn how to re-connect with others and come to experience the many benefits that arise from a mind that cherishes others.

This course last four weeks, starting 19 November and you are welcome to sign up for all of them, or drop in to the ones you can.

The class on 19 November is free. Pricing for the whole course is given below.

About Modern Buddhism - The Path of Wisdom and Compassion

The Monday night series on Modern Buddhism focuses on how to apply Buddha's teachings in an everyday context.

Each week Buddhist monk Kelsang Lobon will present a topic from Buddha's teachings and explain how this can be applied practically in modern-day Copenhagen.

You will learn how to use meditation and other methods derived from Buddha’s teachings to solve daily problems, overcome suffering and find a deep and everlasting happiness that you can share with others.

The class finishes with short pair discussion and question and answers. After the class everyone is welcome to stay for light refreshments and more conversation.

Everybody is welcome - non-buddhist or buddhist and no previous experience is necessary.

This course last four weeks, starting 19 November and you are welcome to sign up for all of them, or drop in to the ones you can. If you book for the entire course the cost is only 250kr.

The price of a class on a "drop-in" basis is 120kr.   Entry is free if you have a Centre Card  for 500 kr per month gives you access to all the general program events at the Centre.

The introdutionary meditation was very powerful, and relaxing. It was very interesting listening to how this way of connecting with others can open your eyes to so many potential friends out in the world. It is very relevant to our time, as i believe we have been too busy dividing and disconnecting ourselves from each other. It's time to reunite, which is why I want to learn more.
