Hike the Eternal Flame, the Scenic Route

The Eternal Flame is a cool natural gas leak underneath a water fall that stays on fire (hence the name). There is a popular hike in from Seufert Rd. but it's pretty short, only like 15 minutes each way. There is another trail in that leads from the main parking lot of Chestnut Ridge Park and is about 3 miles long and goes through some of the creeks and ravines. It's an easy hike, but really nice, so if you want to spend the afternoon at Chestnut Ridge, meet in the main parking lot out in front of the casino.

Something was wrong with the map link, it was pointing to the wrong place even though it had the right address. It looks okay now, but here are some basic directions anyway.
    ~Take I-190 to I-90, exit onto I-90 West
~Take I-90 West for 7 miles, exit onto Route 219 South, signs are for Orchard Park/Springville
~Stay on 219 for 7 miles until Armor Duells Rd exit. After you exit, turn RIGHT onto Armor Duells Rd, towards Chestnut Ridge Rd/Route 277.
~Stay on Armor Duells for 1 mile, then turn RIGHT onto Chestnut Ridge Rd/Route 277 South.
~Stay on Chestnut Ridge Rd for 2 miles, until just before an overpass. Turn RIGHT onto the road before the overpass, then go up the short hill, turn LEFT at the top to go across the overpass, into the main parking lot.
~When you get into the parking lot, there will be a big stone lodge on your left, they call that building the casino. There are some picnic benches outside of the casino where we can all meet.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
