Nik Wallenda Walks the Falls

As you may have heard, the American tight rope walker Nik Wallenda will be walking across the Horseshoe Falls. This is a pretty cool event happening right in here in our backyard. Unfortunately, the vouchers for the American side were gone in 45 minutes, so bring your passport and I hope you'll join me on the Canadian side!

There are a limited number of RSVP spots available as keeping a large group together in a crowd is rather difficult. Currently, there are 10 spots available thinking that then we'll fill two cars. Let me know if you're willing to drive.

We will meet in the public parking lot on W Utica between Elmwood and Ashland (behind the former A La Mode restaurant on the corner) at 5:30p and then carpool to the Falls, park on the American side and walk over the bridge.

We're on our way now. You could meet us there, though. Send me a message/email to figure out how we can find you.

Still at UB. My advisor is leaving to work abroad next week, so our usual hour-long meeting got extended to 3 hours. I won't be able to make it, and I'm super disappointed. =(

Yeah, I agree with Kevin.....and I mean as long as we're going maybe we should just make a day out of it

It will probably be a bit hectic at the border right around 9. I would definitely suggest getting there as early as you can. I'll RSVP once I get some other things sorted out for that weekend.

That's one of the logistical details I'm working on. It mostly depends on who's driving, I guess. Right now, I'm thinking we can meet in Buffalo (Elmwood Village area) and in Niagara Falls, NY if we need to before walking across the border to view the walk.
