Every year Central Terminal is host to Oktoberfest, when we all get to become a Bavarian for the day and celebrate in a German Beer Hall! Doors open at 4pm and the celebration lasts until 11pm, with an entrance fee of $10 (free for those in costume). I plan to get there close to 4pm and will have a Bavarian checkered (blue and white) tablecloth on the table. If you can not arrive at 4pm, no worries! The fun will be going on all evening long.
Visit http://broadwayfillmorealive.org/2.0/2012/09/oktoberfest-the-central-terminal-0929/ and http://buffalocentralterminal.org/ for more information. All proceeds continue to go towards the restoration of Central Terminal. Since it is still undergoing the restoration process keep in mind the building could be cooler dependent upon the weather and expect to use a Port-a-John.
Here is some additional information:
"Celebrate Autumn in traditional Munich style! Enjoy an evening of music in the concourse “beer garden” with the German American Musicians! Beer, food, soft drinks and merchandise will be available. Guests in costume get in for free!"
