Thanksgiving Dinner Service Opportunity

Hello All,
Thanks to our lovely coordinator Kelly, I am able to post this meetup!

At one of my jobs, I am given the opportunity to work with inner city youth. The program is called Merge, and it runs from 7pm-10pm every Friday Night for ages 13-19. Our program for youth (ages 13-19) runs every Friday from 7pm-10pm at the non-profit Buffalo Christian Center and we offer free pizza, free usage of our facility (we have a roller rink, basket court, a game room (with putt putt golf, new foos ball, air hockey, & pool tables, and a lounge area, and also a newly renovated swimming pool scheduled to open this week!)a discussion topic for the youth, and basically a safe place for the youth to come on Friday evenings.
All this to give you a background of the program and to say we need help! We are ran by 3 leaders between the ages of 21 and 25 and we need help putting on a great dinner for approximately 75 youth!

Here is a list of a few items we need. The number is parenthesis is the total number of people we need to bring each listed item or to serve. Please drop off all items before 6:00 PM on Friday November 16th to 512 Pearl St, Buffalo, NY 14202-1991. Items can be dropped off during the day to the office or even the day before if it is something that can easily be re-heated, or doesn’t need to be heated (anytime during the week)all items should be fully cooked and in foil pans that do not need to be returned.

If you are able to bring something, or even volunteer, please RSVP with what you would like to bring or do(i.e. help set up + serve (6pm-9pm), clean up (9pm-10pm). Thanks again! Please note that start time (due to work schedules is a tad flexible..630pm @ latest if possible)

Hi Jessica and welcome! I also live in the Elmwood Village area and would be able to give you a ride. Due to my work schedule, I will be a little late and couldn't pick you up till 6. If you're still interested, let me know and I'll message you my number so we can set up a plan. I look forward to meeting you!
