BM-VM Summer Nature Walk

Buffalo Movie-Video Makers kicks off its 2014 summer season with a Sunday afternoon meeting on July 13.

The leadership of Buffalo Audubon Society, Inc., has invited BM-VM to the grounds of Beaver Meadow Audubon Center at 1 p.m., with a guided outdoor walk at 2 p.m.

Please dress accordingly for the weather and hiking path conditions.

Of course, bring photo gear for a chance to acquire some special outdoor footage.

Our own late Dr. Johannes G. Goerner and his late wife Erika were fans of the same facility, and we will be walking in their footsteps.

Their indoor facility does provide a bit of a screening room itself, in the event the weather turns. Either way, please RSVP by Friday, July 11, to give them a fair estimate.

Note, Beaver Meadow Audubon Center is 40 miles from our usual Screening Room. Please input the following address into your GPS. If you check above, you'll find that Meetup provides a link to google maps.

    It was wet!
AND it was a good time, but we definitely had weather! Good to see John, Leo, Eileen and Cindy. Sorry I got really lost and showed up an hour later than I planned! D'oh! I'm glad we made up for it (a little bit) by going out afterwards to Tastes in E. Aurora and having a bite to eat and some casual conversation that included filmmaking as a topic.
Kudos to John, Leo and Eileen for braving the elements and going on the nature walk despite the rain-- although they were also crazy! Because there was a lot of rain at times!
And thanks to John for supplying an appropriate blast from the past from the BM-VM archives, showing a 15 minute film from the late Dr. Johannes Guerner, an esteemed BM-VM member, who also was a frequent visitor and ardent supporter of the Beaver Meadow Audubon Center.
    It was an excellent time!

You mean SWIM?! Really fine folks on staff and attending made it great. Even during the downpour.
