Buffalo WordPress Users/Bloggers Meetup

This Monthly Meetup is generally targeted towards users who are using WordPress (or looking to learn about it) for Blogging and Content Management.

Discussion about Blogging with WordPress, Using WordPress on your own sites, easy security tips, what to look for in themes and plugins when installing them, and much more. General topics will be focused more on content and basic information about plugins and themes.

If you're new to WP, or are a bit scared of looking at code (like HTML), then this is the meetup you'll want to attend. You may still see some short bits of code during talks or questions, but stick with us and we'll promise you wont drown. You can always give both this and the design/dev meetup a shot and see where you feel more comfortable (or attend both each month).

For more advanced discussion in theme design, plugin development and other more advanced topics, check out the other meetups running fortnight to these ones named "Design/Dev".

Everyone bring any questions to the meetup on Thursday. If Connie is still game, I'm sure we'd all like to hear her talk about some of her tips on writing and blogging.

If anyone else has any topics they'd like us to cover in detail, let us know and we can plan some time for them.

Yes, I'll prepare a 10-15 presentation with tips on writing for a website or blog.

I'd like an overview of the code is organized on a website. Every so often I need to paste a snippet of code somewhere in my website. Even though there are directions explaining where exactly this code should go, I don't understand the directions. If I knew more about where the header code is and the footer code is, etc., I think it would help.
