Buffalo ReUse

Hey Friends! Another volunteering opportunity coming your way!
Recently, Buffalo ReUse had to close their doors because of a fire inspection they didn't pass:(. Now they are looking for volunteers to help them get back on their feet.
If you have never been to Buffalo Reuse, you're missing out. What they do is take donations of reusable items and sell them super cheap. Items such as door knobs, dressers, windows, furniture, etc. Soooo many treasures to be found at Buffalo ReUse!
Buffalo ReUse needs our help to sort through these hidden treasures. It's super easy and fun. Anyone can do it!
Please, say you'll join the team to help :)

Peace,
Stephanie

Buffalo ReUse was great! Another volunteering group also attended this event which made it even more fun! There were 6 meetup volunteers and 5 friends from Circle-K. We all worked together to move doors and wood. Super simple and really useful work. Hope and Dave, Buffalo ReUse workers, could not stop thanking us for our efforts. Everyone did a great job!

I have stuff to give away. It seems like when I empty out 3 large boxes; I keep 1 medium box full of stuff. The rest, I want to give away. I will bring it down. Maybe you guys want them, or the Reuse place. Whatever is left over I will take to Savers, or Good Will.

I also have some small instruments like maraccas, drum, tambourine and a rain stick (stick with seeds inside) I can bring with us when we sing at places.

Is there any place we could do some singing at??? Holidays are coming. Singing is my passion and would like to share this with others like Nursing Homes, Shut ins or Psychiatric Centers or even Children's Behavioral Centers, possibly East Ferry Detentions for Kids, and possibly in Prisons ---if we could get in them to sing or teach about a craft. I love to teach about healthy eating and nutrition and Juicing, Smoothies and Crock Pot Cooking. These are some suggestions for the future. Food determines how you feel and feeds the fuel our cells need. If we eat living foods it fuels energy, if we feed our bodies dead, cooked food---it makes us sluggish. Make sense? Fruits and Vegetables are Living and uncooked all the enzymes feed our cells and make us feel alive. I promote a Plant Based Diet.

I will try to make this one and would really like to check this out. I as well am going through many boxes and thinning out since I am pay $$ for storage and will not have to once I thin out and donate. I will however still check this place out. I thought they loaned out Tools at this place. I think that might be another place called the Tool Library that is somewhere in Buffalo. I would like to donate time at the Massachusetts Project on the West Side of Buffalo, that has Community Gardens with organic fruits and vegetables using government vacant properties. Many places to donate time.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
