Thanksgiving Food Give-A-Way

This is the day where families in need are given a complete Thanksgiving dinner. Volunteers are needed to hand out frozen turkeys and bags of dry and canned food to all who are waiting in line. This is an all day event and one that is very special.

Sorry I didn't get to meet anyone but volunteering was fun today. I was a 'runner' for a couple of hours from 10:30 - 12:30. Thanks and have a great day everyone!

Ram, Thank you for attending. Yes there are so many people it's difficult to find individuals from the Meetup group. Glad to hear you had fun. Hope to see you at future events that are in a more intimate setting.

Hi, I am planning to be there tomorrow to volunteer. Who should I contact once I'm there? I'm sorry but this is my first time and so I dunno how it works

You just show up. You will see a lot of volunteers so you can just ask one of them what to do.

It starts at 10:30 tomorrow morning so if you plan on getting there any time after 10:00, that is great. I thought it started earlier when I first posted this event. It will go until at least 3:00, I think unless the weather is really bad and people are not able to handle waiting outside in the cold. If you are able to show up in the afternoon for an hour, that is also good.

Hi everyone, I am planning to come tomorrow to volunteer with my friend Brittany. We are able to come around noon, see everyone then. We are new volunteers.

Do my husband & I need to notify St. Luke's that we will be volunteering, or do we just show up that morning?

No, all you do is show up at any time during that day. You can help all day or even just for one hour. Ask for Gino and tell him Sheri sent you and that you and your husband are volunteering for the first time. If Gino is unavailable, ask for Chris.
