Hello Members,

Welcome new members of the Buffalo Dachshund Club! We hope to meet you soon at one of our upcoming events and appreciate your support of our club.

If you have not already, please send your $6.00 yearly dues (payable by check to Emily Burns) to 106 Johnson Park, Buffalo, NY 14201. These dues help us pay for the hosting of this meetup.com website, and also for occassional snacks and treats throughout the year.

Please note that TWO events have been scheduled for this fall, including our 3rd Annual "Dachtoberfest" event on 10/16. Sorry for the late notice, but it took a while to get a venue commitment, but we are now good to go!

3rd Annual "Dachtoberfest" Event- Benefitting Dachshund Rescue of North America
Please join us to celebrate the fall season and raise money for Dachshund Rescue of North America (www.drna.org) on 10/16 from 12NOON until 1:30PM.

We will be hosted by Dog Days of Buffalo, a premier cage-free dog daycare, training, and professional grooming facility for dogs on Amherst Street in the city.

Dress your dogs for our Halloween-themed costume contest, start training for our wiener dog races, and enjoy food and treats for owners and dogs alike.

$5 per dog- to benefit Dachshund Rescue of North America

If you are interested in solicting raffle prizes, please contact Emily Burns. If we are able to solicit enough prizes, we will do a $2 raffle to raise additional money for our charity. Please also contact Emily if you are interested in volunteering. We need tables, treats, drinks, set up, clean up and raffle organizers ASAP!

Their spacious indoor play area has non-skid rubber floors. Separate areas are available for dogs that are older or not as active or prefer to rest while other dogs play.

The Puppy Playpen also offers an outdoor play area for the dogs to enjoy sunshine and fresh air. In the summer, wading pools are provided for additional fun for interested puppies.

If you have any questions or can donate your time to help our for the 10/16 event, please let me know. Thanks very much and see you soon!

Best,

Emily
