Hello Doxie Moms and Dads,
If you don't already know, for those who walked in this year's Buffalo St. Patty's parade, congratulate yourselves! Our club won a first time category award for "Best Animal Marching Unit" in this year's parade. We were honored for the award at a small reception at the Buffalo Irish Center in South Buffalo this past Sunday afternoon and received an amazing trophy. Congrats to all who marched, and let's aim to win again next year!!
Also, I stopped by Buffalo Pug and Small Breed Rescue's office in Kenmore over the weekend and met "Abby", a doxie/chihuahua currently up for adoption. What I learned about her is that she is approx. 3 years old, recently had puppies, and came froma kill shelter in Maryland. She is the sweetest dog, and loved just sitting with myself and my mom, snuggling and calming down as she sat in our laps. I fell in love with her immediately and really hope that she finds her forever home with one of our members.
She is currently being fostered with a family with two very large dogs and seems to be getting along with them just fine. She looks like she would be the perfect dogs for someone who can give her lots of love and attention and let her snuggle with you often.

Keep me posted if anyone looks at her, I'd love to keep her in the Buffalo Dachshund Club family! I completely fell in love!
Have a great spring and hope to see you at an upcoming meetup event. I just scheduled an April meet up on Saturday, April 21st at Delaware Park at 12NOON. Hope to see you there!!
