UBCon XXIV: Still Alive

Welcome to University at Buffalo’s 24th annual Gaming and Anime convention!

Do you enjoy Role Playing, NERF, LARPing, Anime, or anything else that can be considered nerdy or geeky? Then you’ll bound to find something to occupy yourself with!

Enjoy your favorite Anime series in our many viewing rooms; jump into a Dungeons and Dragons pick up game, or fight off the evil zombie hordes. Or visit with and listen to one of our various famous guests!

We survived the end of the world, we beat it back, and we’re STILL ALIVE.

UBCon is now in it’s 24th year. It started out as nothing more than a small tabletop gaming convention and has evolved into a celebration of RPG’s, LARPing, Anime, and Video Gaming. Today we attract around 1000 guests to enjoy our community-run panels, games, meetups and our major guest events!

For one weekend we transform the academic spine into a celebration of everything nerdy, often to the bemusement of others.

This was a really well run con this year, events were scheduled nicely, there seemed to be minimal changes to the schedule. Staff was friendly, everything was great, probably the best UBCon I've attended.

Aside from typical registration issue it was an awesome experience. Great selection of games and talented gms. Got yo play two systems I really had wanted to try
    Helpful staff.

Friday night I'm running and Edge of the Empire game. Saturday I am co-running an 18 PLAYER STAR WARS DELVE. Play canon characters, racing against a literal clock to survive an Imperial assault on Geonosis.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
