Welcome to the Buffalo Independent Movie Watchers
We are a small friendly group of movie enthusiasts who enjoy watching movies together and discussing afterwards. We may go out before or after an event for coffee or a small meal. We keep the Meetups focused on Movies.
When choosing what movies to schedule, we consider:
-Film festivals, such as the Buffalo Independent Film Festival
-UB’s Film Seminars at the Dipson Theater on Main Street
-Classic Films by directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, Mel Brooks, Mark Cousins, Stanley Kubrick, Orson Welles and Quinton Tarantino
-Quintessential actors such as Marlon Brando, Bettie Davis, Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn
-Critic and IMDB lists of greatest movies
We are open to any movies and any member can schedule and host a movie of their choice.
Check out the list of upcoming and past Meetups to get an idea of what our interests are.
There is a one month free trial membership and after that a $12.00 annual fee to cover the costs of the web page.
