Contemporary Japanese @ Tomo

 

Tomo Japanese restaurant is one of Atlanta Top 50 restaurants (AJC 2013) and Best New Sushi restaurants in America (Bon Appetit 2012).  Also Omakase at Tomo is in the Atlanta's culinary bucket list (Creative Loafing 2013).  In my humble opinion, they have the best sushi in Atlanta.

This meetup is a lot more expensive than our usual meetups, and it's in Buckhead not on Buford Highway. Although you can have dinner for less, most people spend more than $50.  Be prepare to spend more than $50 for this event.  If someone wants to order Omakase ($100 - $150), then let me know soon since I need to notify Tomo restaurant one week before this event.  Here are links to various reviews and Tomo restaurant menu.

Tomo restaurant is located just north of Phipps Plaza, in the same building as the Ritz Carlton Residences. Enter from Peachtree Dunwoody Rd. Parking is at the top of the ramp and on the right. Complimentary valet parking is available.

As always, if you sign up, show up. And be there 15 minutes early, or at worst, on time. The rumors are true.

Dress code for this event will be casual elegant: No jeans, no shorts, no flip flops.

    Thanks for everyone who came out Tomo Japanese Restaurant last night. It was cool to see chef Tomo Naito in action and even took photo with him. I know this was not typical Buford Highway Foodies event, but I hope everyone enjoyed the food/experience as much as I did.
