This has become one of my "new" favorite restaurants. I found it by default earlier this year when New Paradise unexpectedly closed and I was looking for another Hong Kong style restaurant. What a fate of fortune since I gave Bo Bo's a try.
I loved the food but I didn't realize how ethnic it was until Kim and I went there one night with Edgar and Joane.
Considering they spent 3 years in Hong Kong I figure they know good from bad Cantonese. They gave it a big thumbs up. A matter of fact Edgar loved it so much, he hosted his first BHF Meetup here.
Quoting from Edgar's first write up on Bo Bo's " I was transported back to the Hong Kong that I love. Where we ordered fresh steamed fish, Stir fried Pea shoots, Pork with green beans and Salt & Pepper Squid. All authentically prepared and served with friendly fast service that Hong Kong is known for. While we ate they served unlimited Jasmine tea which only helps in the flavor, as well as the digestion of these delicious plates."
Edgar and I were talking at the Chinatown Food Court meetup last night and decided it would be fun to go back and explore more of the menu. So that's what we are doing.
We will have 2 tables of 12 and we will be eating family style. I'm sure we will have a vast selection of diverse food to try, so come hungry. We will split the bill per table. Please pay for your beer and wine individually.
