New in Town? Friends are too busy or not interested in certain events? Want to make new friendships with interested people? Always saying "I didn't get to make it to that ..."?
You: Adventurous, Unlimited Metrocard holder <a plus>, open to all types of music, dancing, film, food, frolicking. Willing to discover NYC and it's outer boroughs.
I will also try to find budget-friendly food/dessert/drinks with some of these events. I have low-key, usually ethnic or neighborhood-related options. Suggestions welcome.
Summer 2012: everything outdoors!
Hudson River pier films, music, dancing (free sunset salsa @ the triangle;-}, Midsummer Night's swing). Rooftop films. Shakespeare in the park, Water taxi beaches, Beer Gardens, Prospect park concerts
Other events you might like to have:
-Coney Island beach and boardwalk
-MoMA Free Friday exhibit & Burger Joint
-Staten Island Chinese Scholar's Garden
-Governor's Island bike riding
-Ferry to Sandy Hook Beaches (including clothing optional beach)
-The Queens Museum & Xian Famous Foods
Note: As of right now, if the events are not already in the evening, the daytime events will mostly likely be on a weekday, as my work schedule is reversed. If you'd like more weekend daytime events, Assistant Organizers welcome!
