Our group was just invited to a free screening of SAFE HAVEN at the Mall of America on Wednesday, February 6th at 7:00 pm.
The book/movie is from the same author as The Notebook, so if you liked that...(eek, I haven't seen it yet, but even my boyfriend LOVES it, which is odd.) The passes are through GOFOBO.com. I have used them many times and it is a very reputable site if you are worried about signing up for another account. They don't try to sell you stuff, you don't really have to do anything accept tell them who you are and that's only so they don't issue out duplicate passes. I've used them more than a dozen times for free movies, so please do not worry about a scam. They just want to get butts in the seat for advance screenings and movie reviewers. WHO DOESN'T LIKE A FREE MOVIE?!?!?!
So here's the link:
You'll have to sign into an account first and then once you are logged in you can hit the link again and it will bring you to the passes. You can select 1 or 2 passes. They only ask that if you decide not to go, please cancel your passes so they can reissue them to someone else. It is first come first serve, so if you wait too long, they will be gone. There is not a specific amount set aside for us, we were just given the passcode link to let us in. Once they are gone...they are gone.
One last note: They do slightly overbook these events to ensure they have a packed house and knowing the nature of some who will hold a ticket and not officially cancel. So my suggestion is to get there a bit early. I have always got a seat and I tend to run a bit later than most people, so I'm not too worried, but I just want to be honest when I say it will be packed and there is a slight potential you'll be asked to leave if you are running late.
I just printed out my passes. I hope to see some of you there!
