Awesome night, fun group, good food. I think we may have ruined Christmas for one little girl. Now for the book, I can look past the narrative and see the story for what it is. I did make it to the end and was actually invested in the characters. As a work of fiction, it is passable. As a memoire, sorry James, but it should be ripped into a million little pieces (and burned).

Joey, you finally get your wish! I have a way for you to "officially" keep track of the no shows now! (P.S. The first time I typed this it was...Officially. Emphesis on the Capital O.) oops...I accidentally did it again!

Oooo... capitalizing important words? You must be getting ready to write your memoires.

I'll take full responsibility for ruining some little girl's Christmas.

I'm enroute. Running a few behind, but did call and made a reservation for 8 under "Bonnie".

I'm not going to make it. Turns out my husband invited people over for dinner and I just found out today. Ah, the joys of marriage! I didn't finish the book anyway, and what I did get through, I HATED. I'm with Joey, the writing style gets on my nerves. Also, the narrator is just so unlikable. Maybe he redeems himself in the end? I don't care, I'm taking it back to the library without finding out. I say, BURN THIS BOOK. Have fun tonight!

I hoped to get the book in time but I'm still too far far down on the library list.

I'm probably going to be late. Dress fitting. But save me a seat!

I finished on Tuesday...again...unlike me & way ahead of schedule. Joey, if you still don't have the book you're welcome to mine. As a plus, I bought it from Goodwill so you don't have to worry about Frey getting a 2nd buy benefit! ;-)

I snagged a copy from the library, so no penny is going to Frey.

I agree with Joey. The style drove me crazy, but I still couldn't put it down. Too bad it was half made-up.

The narrative style in this story drives me crazy.
It makes me want to hit my head with the book.
    With the book.
    Hit it.
    Hit it.
    Hit it.
    Ow.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
