A great discussion with a great group! It was nice to incorporate a couple newcomers into the mix and felt everyone gelled very well. I love that this group is so inherently accepting of all who join. It makes for really interesting discussions and just a much appreciated sense of naturality within the group. This book was very good in overall character & environment description, but the outcome left me wanting more. Ultimately, it has forced me to plot my own prequel & sequel! But, maybe this is what the author was looking for...maybe the book was ultimately just a vehicle for us to imagine our own Circus of Dreams once hers had begun to fade. *shrugs & a scrunchy face*

It was a fun talkative group. They book was enjoyable. I loved the vivid narrative the author infused into the story, it was very effective at bringing the sights, sounds and oddly even smells into your imagination. The ending went by too quickly and I was left with a feeling that this book would have more enjoyable if the conclusion felt more epic. I could have seen this done over several books instead of one.

Did anyone else finish and have the feeling that they needed to read it again? I have this nagging feeling that I missed something. Can't wait for tonight to get everyone elses perspectives!

Also, GoodReads is doing a video chat with the author on Monday @ 4:00 pm. AND, they are giving away copies of the newest edition if you enter by the 31st. Links below. Could be interesting!
