Free Pool Lesson, Followed by pool playing social mixer

The April Meetup will have 2 new hosts in order to accommodate a previous commitment for Toni and Daxs.

This month's meeting (April) will have a special guest instructor Jay Wegener, who has helped us at previous Meetups. Along with Jay will be another instructor Carl who has also coached us in the past. They will stay around for the rest of the meetup and possibly play to even out our group.

We also welcome a special host for this month, Sharon, who has joined us many times in the past and will be there to keep it mixed up and exciting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there. It will be lots of fun!

Each month we offer a special price on the "Beer of the Month" and a drink special. It will be announced here closer to the day of the meetup.

We invite a minimum of three other Meetup groups each month, so the RSVP list is much larger than shown here. Plus, some people come in last-minute with no RSVP. Usually we get 30 to 40 people so the energy level is high.

I'll see everyone Friday, or come out sooner to meet your friends and practice!

This is a fun opportunity to play pool and brush up on your pool playing skills with a Free Pool Lesson. After the lesson, everyone is invited to stay for the Pool Playing Social. During the social pool playing we usually rotate players/tables every 15 minutes to allow everyone to play everyone else. There are plenty of tables for everyone so no one has to wait. If you only want to come for the free lesson and leave, that's OK but we hope you'll stay and have fun. If you want to stay and play after the free lesson, there is a $10 flat fee for the table usage. If you want to just hang out and socialize and not play, that's OK too.

Attendance: We have 3 other Meetup groups invited this month, including the Twin City Pool Meetup Group which meets regularly on the 3rd Friday of each month. Usually we have 30 to 50 people show up.

7pm to 8pm Free pool lessons. (Usually runs over as we have so much to talk about)

Specially geared for beginners and first level players, but advanced level players will get a lot out of these lessons too. Get answers to your questions about aiming, banking, cue ball control, stance, position play. Bring any questions you have, we will answer them. All skill levels are invited. Please indicate if you will be there for the lesson. If we have a large group for the lessons we will invite extra guest instructors to help out by creating more (smaller) groups. You will get extra attention during the lessons this way. We usually break into 2 groups for beginner and intermediate. Don't be shy, we all miss shots!

8pm to 12midnight. Twin City Pool Meetup. Get on a table and play! (Socializing Mixer)

All skill levels welcome. We will play randomly to start, then every 15 to 20 minutes we will switch player/tables and play someone new. This will allow everyone to play more people, socialize, have fun, with less emphasis on winning the game. We have plenty of pool tables for everyone so no one has to wait. We will have plenty of extras to make it an even number and to challenge the good players. $10 flat fee for the table rental from 8pm to 12 if you decide to stay and play.

In the past some members wanted to continue the social pool tournament so we will also run it again on adjoining tables for anyone who prefers the tourney instead of the social playing.

If you are in another Meetup group that would like to join us please ask their organizers to contact us and we will help to make it successful.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
